Former BSP MP’s son who brandished gun at 5-star hotel in Delhi surrenders

Former BSP lawmaker’s son Ashish Pandey who was missing since he brandished a gun at a Delhi’s 5-star hotel on October 14, has surrendered before the Delhi’s Patiala House court. Delhi police had filed an FIR against Pandey at RK Puram police station for brandishing gun.
The Delhi police team which had visited Pandey’s house in Lucknow had failed to arrest him after he went underground.
“I am being projected like a wanted terrorist and police across the nation is looking for me. Lookout notice has been issued against me. If you check CCTV footage, you will find who went to ladies toilet that night and who threatened whom”, Ashish said in a video message released minutes before he reached the court.
He further said that he took the gun with him for safety and that he did not brandish it. Ashish claimed that he did not even address the girl who pushed him and made obscene hand gestures.
He said that he has no history of police case against him and since he has faith in judiciary he decided to surrender.
Ashish was seen brandishing a gun at Delhi’s Hyatt Regency hotel, the video of which went viral. Pandey is seen pulling out a gun and threatening a woman at the hotel’s entrance. He is also seen hurling abuses. Pandey was seen accompanied by several women.
Pandey runs a real estate business in Lucknow.
