New Delhi : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted searches at seven locations across Hyderabad in connection with its ongoing investigation into an Islamic State module it busted in 2016, the agency said.

“We conducted searches at seven locations in Hyderabad in a 2016 Islamic State case. Further investigation is underway,” said NIA spokesperson Alok Mittal, adding the raiding team has also seized some digital devices and incriminating material.

The anti-terror agency on June 22, 2016 registered an FIR in connection with the case and subsequently busted the Islamic State cell after a raid conducted in Moghalpura and Bhawaninagar areas in Hyderabad. At least five people were arrested in the case.
