In a bizzare incident reported from Aurangabad district of Bihar, a man allegedly murdered his three month old son on the suspicion that the ‘child did not resemble’ him. He suspected that the child was not his biological son and that his wife had an extramarital affair.

Hindustan Times quoted police as saying that Raushan Lathore (32), a farmer from Dhanaura village allegedly killed his three month old son on Sunday believing that he was not his biological child and that his wife Kuldhan Devi (26), was having an extramarital affair.

Lathore allegedly snatched the baby from his mother when he was being fed and killed him. He then began thrashing his wife. The neighbours not only rescued Devi but even thrashed Lathore before handing him over to the police.

HT quoted, Station House officer of Tandwa police station, Sajid Hussain as saying that ever since the birth of the child, Raushan Lathore did not accept him as his biological son. He would also question the character of his wife and torture her on the suspicion of bearing an illegitimate child.

Police have arrested Raushan on the complaint of his wife.
