Arbaaz Khan confesses to IPL betting

Actor-Producer Arbaaz Khan who had been summoned by Thane police has reportedly accepted his involvement in betting over IPL matches. Arbaaz, brother of actor Salman Khan had been called to get his statement recorded before the anti-extortion cell of Thane police where he arrived on Saturday morning.

News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that during interrogation actor Arbaaz Khan accepted that he had placed bets in IPL matches last year and had lost Rs 2.75 crore.

The Times Of India quoted police officials of Thane anti-extortion cell involved in the investigations as saying that actor-producer Arbaaz Khan has confessed to involvement in the investigations.

At the police station, Arbaaz was made to sit face-to-face with alleged bookie Sonu Jalan who had been arrested earlier in the case. Sonu allegedly operated in India as well as abroad.
