CBSE XII results : Yash and Prajit score 98.2% each, emerge as Kanpur toppers
Yash Vardhan Raizada of Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre (VSEC), Shyam Nagar branch and Prajit Kumar of Sir Padampat Singhania Education Centre (SPSEC), brought laurels to Kanpur city by scoring 98.2 per cent each, thereby jointly bagging second position in the list of toppers in the Allahabad region of CBSE. Congratulations poured in abundance for these boys from their friends, parents, teachers and relatives.
But the two bright boys were never sure of topping the city. What they were very sure of was scoring high somewhere around 98 per cent and the same happened. Their happiness had no limits yet they were cool and composite for the fact that this was just the start and that they have to reach pinnacle in their lives.
Both the meritorious students have one thing in common – that is their aim. They want to get into any IIT for pursuing BTech. “My first target is getting into IIT. I have interest in Computer Science, so I wish to pursue BTech from Computer Science and Engineering Department of IITKanpur which is one of the best in the country. I am keeping my fingers crossed and awaiting the result of JEE (Advanced) to be declared on June 10”, said Yash.
Prajit, son of Kanpur zoo Director Deepak Kumar, too has same goals in life. He wants to pursue engineering course before making mind to define further path in his life. “I did reasonably well in JEE Advanced and look forward to cracking it. Once through, I would pursue BTech from IIT. Beyond this I have not thought of at the moment”, said Prajit who was flanked by his parents who remained busy in receiving congratulatory calls from family and friends after CBSE declared class XII result on Saturday afternoon.
Both the students also shared one more susbtance in common – they were away from social media and did not let it hinder their studies. “I am yet to open my first account on any social media platform – be it Facebook, WhatsApp or Instagram. Infact I don’t have a smartphone either. Now that my result is out, I will certainly make a Facebook account to stay connected with my school friends”, said Yash.
He also said that he used his mother’s phone for exchanging study material on WhatsApp with his friends as he did not had a phone of his own.
Prajit also echoed the same views. He said that his use of social media was very limited. “We never allowed Prajit to freely use social media considering the fact that he was in class XII and had to appear in board exams that shape the very future of the children”, said Prajit’s father Deepak Kumar.
Vijayshree Pandey, principal, Dr VSEC, Shyam Nagar congratulated each school student who did well. She poured blessings on Prajit for bringing laurels.
Bhawna Gupta, principal of SPSEC too was extremely rejoiced to witness her school students having performed well. She was all in praise for Prajit.
