The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) continues its protest at Jantar Mantar over the alleged NEET paper leak. Meanwhile, reports have emerged that CJP President Abhijeet Deepke has fallen ill. In a video message, Deepke said he has been diagnosed with typhoid and is currently undergoing treatment. Urging supporters not to panic, he expressed confidence that the ongoing peaceful protest would soon lead to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Meanwhile, CJP has strongly criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance that the government will establish fast-track courts to deal with paper leak cases. The party’s National Spokesperson, Ashutosh Ranka, described the announcement as an attempt to divert attention from the core issue.
Ranka said that repeated paper leaks in the examination system are not the result of the absence of fast-track courts but of the failure of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He argued that the Prime Minister’s proposal was “like putting a band-aid on a broken bone.” According to Ranka, young people do not need promises of lengthy legal processes; they want strict action against the Education Minister and immediate accountability.
