AAP Hits Back at Raghav Chadha After ‘Silenced, Not Defeated’ Remark
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday (April 2) removed its MP Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. A day later, on Friday (April 3), Chadha responded by saying, “I have been silenced, not defeated.” His remarks have now drawn a sharp counterattack from the party.
AAP’s national spokesperson Anurag Dhanda targeted Chadha in a post on X, taking a strong dig at his stance. He wrote, “We are soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal. Fearlessness is our identity. If someone is afraid of Modi, how will he fight for the country? In Parliament, the party gets limited time to speak—one can either use it to fight for the nation or to talk about making samosas cheaper at airport canteens.”
Dhanda further questioned Chadha’s silence on key political issues, stating that when hundreds of AAP workers were arrested in Gujarat, he did not raise the matter in Parliament. He also alleged that Chadha refused to sign a proposal against the Chief Election Commissioner and remained present in the House even when the party staged a walkout.
“Over the past few years, you have become fearful, Raghav. You hesitate to speak against Modi and avoid raising real issues of the country. One who is afraid…” Dhanda said, leaving the remark unfinished.
