Protesters claim they found millions in cash at Sri Lanka President Rajapaksa’s house, video goes viral

A video has gone viral on social media where it is being claimed that anti-government protestors are counting the currency notes that were unearthed in the President’s House in Srilanka.

Srilanka’s Daily Mirror newspaper reported that the money recovered was handed over to the security units.

It could be seen in the video that a man is counting the currency notes and while others are busy recording this very activity. It is being said that millions of Rupees were found in cash in the President’s House.

A very big number of protestors had stormed into the President’s House on Saturday. They were demanding the resignation of President Rajapaksa over the nation’s worst economic crisis.

Another group of protesters had entered private residence of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and set it on fire.

Nobody knows about the whereabouts of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who is said to have fled the country.
