UP CM Yogi Adityanath extends free ration scheme by another 3 months

The newly sworn in Uttar Pradesh government in its first cabinet meeting on Saturday decided to extend the free ration scheme in the state.

This scheme has been extended by another three months. It was set to expire on March 31, 2022.

The cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath decided to extend the free ration scheme and it would benefit 15 crore people of the state.

Yogi Adityanath said that the people of the state would continue to get free ration for next three months.

The extension of the free scheme would cost exchequer Rs 3,270 crores.
