The near respite, according to weather analysts, is likely on February 23 and 24, as Delhi and neighbouring region may see rain showers and thunderstorm then.

The national capital on Tuesday saw a minimum temperature of 10.1 degree Celsius, a notch below the season’s average.

“The temperature is expected to rise further for next two to three days,” an IMD official told IANS.

Experts attribute rise in temperature in Delhi to the cloud cover over northern Rajasthan and Delhi.

“Both maximum and minimum temperature is set to rise over few more days as there is cloudy sky in the region. Respite is likely on February 23 and 24, due to possibility of rains, but after that mercury will rise again,” said Mahesh Palwat, director private weather forecasting agency Skymet.

The hunidity oscillated between 35 and 95 per cent respectively.

On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.9 degree Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 10 degrees.
