Vipul Shah tried kissing me several times, touched my butt : Sacred Games’ actress

Sacred Games actress Elnaaz Norouzi has accused Bollywood director Vipul Shah of sexual harassment. Elnaz has alleged that Vipul tried to kiss her several times during ‘Namaste England’ auditions.

Elnaz opened up about her harrowing experience to Mid-Day. She revealed that Vipul kept her running pillar to post for the role in his film without ever casting her. She mentioned that Shah kept on postponing signing her for the film despite taking several auditions.

“When I met him again in his office he told me that we will sign the paper soon. This time when we were saying bye he came very close which made me uncomfortable. I did not get the right vibe. He gave a peck on my face. I did not expect it”, she said.

She further said that he tried to kiss her everytime she met him in his office. “Next time when we met at his office, he again tried to kiss me. I backed off. I said What are you doing? We are in your office!, I pushed him away…”, Elnaaz said in her long post.

Elnaaz said that Vipul asked her to come to the shoot location for Namaste England in Patiala without signing her for the film where he took another audition but did not tell her the story. “Instead Vipul asked me to come to his room and added that he would make me hear the script there”, she added.

“At this point, he touched my butt … I dodged him and went to my room and sat wondering if I should give in”, Elnaaz said.

She said that she was signed for Netflix’s Sacred Games but Vipul Shah made all efforts to ensure that she called quits to the web series.

Elnaaz said that it was pretty clear that Vipul wanted sexual favours from her. “I was mentally tortured for three months. It was evident that if I slept with Vipul, I would get the part. Every time I went to his office, he tried (to hit) on me. He (would) inappropriately touch me, and try to kiss me”, she said.

She also mentioned that she did not report the matter to the police as she is not an Indian national and that it might create work visa issues for her. But she decided to share her story. “The reason why I am sharing this is because I want these kind of disgusting people to stop misusing their power”, she added.
