Singer Ankit Tiwari’s father accuses cricketer Vinod Kambli’s wife of assaulting him
Raj Kumar Tiwari, father of playback singer Ankit Tiwari has accused former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli‘s wife Andrea Hewitt of assaulting him at a mall in Mumbai on Sunday. Tiwari had visited the mall to spend time with his family.
Fifty-nine-year-old Raj Kumar Tiwari father has filed a complaint with the police against the couple, alleging that they had threatened him and his son Ankur. He even claimed that Andrea took off her sandal to beat him.
According to media reports, Andrea also punched RK Tiwari.
Kambli however, has accused RK Tiwari of touching his wife inappropriately. According to media reports, Andrea said the singer’s father took advantage of the crowd and brushed his hands against her.
According to Mid-Day, the man said his younger son was injured after he was assaulted by Vinod Kambli’s bodyguards.
Kambli took to twitter and wrote ‘Women safety on question once again’. “Some miscreants tried to touch my wife inappropriately, When questioned, brought his sons n tried to come to blows. Sadly, women safety on question once again,” Kambli tweeted on Sunday, tagging Mumbai Police.
Ankur Tiwari, younger son of Raj Kumar Tiwari refuted all the allegations saying that his father was disoriented after the attack. The Bangur Nagar police is now investigating the matter. According to NDTV, no arrest has been made so far.
