Noida Police solve headless body murder case, bus driver arrested, weapon and body parts recovered

Noida | In a major breakthrough, Noida Sector-39 police have cracked the headless body murder case that stunned the city earlier this month. Police arrested the prime accused, bus driver Monu Solanki, and recovered the axe used in the killing, the severed body parts, the woman’s clothes, a bus floor mat, and even the bus used for the crime.
On November 6, police received a call reporting a dismembered female body dumped inside a drain. Officers rushed to the location, registered a case, and began investigating.
To solve the crime, police formed nine special teams, examined 5,000+ CCTV cameras, and tracked over 1,100 vehicles. Out of these, 44 came under suspicion.
Police identified a white-and-blue bus moving towards the crime spot with lights switched off on November 5 at around 8:30 pm. The bus number UP16 KT 0037 was traced to driver Monu Solanki, a resident of Barola.
A woman named Priti Yadav alias Priti Devi, also from Barola, had been missing for six days. She reportedly had ongoing disputes with Monu. Based on this, police detained Monu, who later confessed to the murder.

Illicit affair, blackmail, rage killing
During interrogation, Monu revealed that he met Priti at a jeans factory. Both entered an illicit relationship. She began pressuring him for money and allegedly blackmailing him. He then decided to kill her.
On the day of the crime, Monu took Priti on the bus. A heated argument broke out and in a fit of anger, he beheaded her using an axe. To hide her identity, he severed her hands as well.
He dumped the body in a Noida drain and threw remaining body parts and the weapon in a dry drain in Ghaziabad. The forensic team found human blood traces in the bus, sealing Monu’s involvement.
The case stands solved, police said.
