Man confesses to have raped, killed 9 girls, used to break their legs before sexually assaulting them

A 20-year-old man arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district has confessed to have raped and killed at least nine girls all aged between three and seven over the last two years, Reuters quoted Gurugram police as saying. The gory crime was executed in New Delhi and three other cities, police said.

The man was arrested on Monday on the charges of raping and killing a three-year-old girl on November 11 in Gurugam. He was identified as Sunil Kumar.

Reuters quoted Assistant Sub-Inspector and PRO with Gurugram police, Subhash Boken as saying, “The man used to first break the legs of the victims before attempting rape and then he would murder them.”

Boken told Reuters that a court on Tuesday granted police remand of the man for eight days.

Sunil would lure girls by offering them sweets or money and abduct them, the police official said.
