Man tries to forcefully kiss young woman, gets tongue bitten off in self-defense; this is what happened next
Kanpur | A shocking incident has been reported from Bilhaur in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district, where a young woman bit off the tongue of a man who allegedly attempted to forcibly kiss her. The accused has been identified as Champi, a father of two, who had reportedly been stalking and harassing the woman for several days.
According to police, the woman had gone to a field on Monday to collect soil when Champi reached the spot and allegedly tried to force himself on her. When the woman resisted and screamed for help but could not break free, she bit off a portion of his tongue in self-defence. The accused collapsed on the ground as he began bleeding profusely.
After reaching home, woman informed her brothers about the assault. Meanwhile, Champi’s family arrived at the scene and accused the woman’s brothers of attacking him (accused) and cutting his tongue. However, police later confirmed that the woman’s brothers were not present in the village at the time and the allegation was found to be false.
Champi was taken to Bilhaur Community Health Centre and subsequently referred to LLR hospital for specialised treatment. Doctors said a significant portion of his tongue had been severed and he may suffer permanent speech impairment.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dinesh Tripathi said, “In Dariyapur village under Bilhaur police station limits, the woman and the accused had known each other earlier. On November 17, the man allegedly followed her again, leading to a confrontation. During the scuffle, his tongue was severed. A case has been registered on the woman’s complaint and legal action is underway.”
