Bihar: Jan Suraj Party candidate from Tarari, Chandrashekhar Singh, dies of heart attack on election result day

Patna | In a major setback for Jan Suraj Party, its Tarari Assembly constituency candidate Chandrashekhar Singh passed away on Friday after suffering a fatal heart attack. His death occurred on the very day the Bihar Assembly election results were announced, leaving his family and supporters in shock.

According to media reports, Chandrashekhar Singh had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Patna for the past several days. He was unwell and doctors were monitoring his condition closely.

Reports state that Singh suffered his first heart attack on October 31 while campaigning. He was immediately admitted to a hospital for treatment.

On Friday evening, around 4 pm, he suffered a second heart attack, which proved fatal.

As per the Election Commission data, Chandrashekhar Singh secured 2,271 votes from the Tarari Assembly seat and finished fourth.

On this seat, BJP candidate Vishal Prashant won by a margin of 11,464 votes defeating CPI candidate Madan Singh, who came in second.

Wave of Grief Among Family and Supporters

His passing has triggered an outpouring of grief across the region. Local leaders and Jan Suraj Party workers described Singh as a dedicated and honest worker, whose absence will be felt immensely.
